Emerald Racing Stables` thoroughbred partnerships offering of Zarifah (by Sahm out of Sunshine Girl) is a study of line breeding perfection. Her sire Sahm is one the finest Mr. Prospector line stallions out there, out of a Champion mare - Salsabil. Sunshine Girls` dam - Uptown Girl by Taylor Falls was 3rd in the Queens Plate in Canada (most prestegous Canadian race) and her dam produced an Argentinian Grade 1 winner.
Zarifah is an outstanding filly representative of Mr. Prospector line filly`s that have won stakes races across the continents. Her 3x3 line breeding to Mr. Prospector will surely pay dividends as she begins her racing career. She is set to run in the 3rd race, 4th post on 07/0706 in a six furlong maiden special weight race at Louisiana Downs. "Zarifah is healthy and we`re looking forward to bumping her to more ground" says trainer Eric T. Scherer.
In July of last year she was in the money in a $30,000 Churchill Downs 5 furlong race in which she in an almost Giacomo type running style came from dead last to take fourth place. Coming in 4th behind Ro Parras` entry (Millenium Farms) is not bad horse racing results for a first time starter up against Churchill Downs best.
